Monza are working on reinforcing the squad with Atalanta defender Giorgio Cittadini on loan, Armando Izzo on a permanent move from Torino and free agent Roberto Gagliardini from Inter.

This will be only their second ever Serie A season, but the first since owner Silvio Berlusconi passed away last month.

CEO Adriano Galliani is continuing to work on their transfer deals and has secured at least two today.

Italy Under-21 international Cittadini will join them on loan from Atalanta, without an option to buy at the end of the season.

As for Izzo, he was at Monza on loan last term and will now make it permanent from Torino with a medical set for Wednesday morning and a three-year contract waiting for his signature.

Gagliardini is a free agent after his contract with Inter was allowed to run down and is widely expected to sign for Monza over the next few days.
