Italy Under-21 international Raoul Bellanova is at the centre of a bidding war between Inter, where he spent this season on loan, and Torino.

The right-sided winger turned 23 last month and is currently impressing for the Azzurrini at the European Under-21 Championship.

He had technically scored a goal in last night’s 2-1 defeat to France, but it was not given due to the lack of goal-line technology, despite clearly crossing the line.

Owned by Cagliari, Bellanova spent this season at Inter on loan at a cost of €3m, then the club was not prepared to pay the full €7m option to make the move permanent.

They had hoped to negotiate a better deal, until Torino dived in with their own proposal worth €7m plus €2m in add-ons.

However, Sportitalia claim this evening that Inter are back in with a new offer that is hoping to cut down the costs by including players to Cagliari in the exchange.

They would be the likes of striker Martin Satriano, who spent this season at Empoli, and midfielder Lucien Agoume.
