Inter ultras have made it clear that they do not want to see Nicolo Barella sold this summer following reports of a possible swap deal with Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku.

Corriere dello Sport reported today that the Blues asked the Nerazzurri to include the Italian midfielder in a deal for the Belgian striker, who is scheduled to return to West London at the end of this month.

Chelsea want to close the chapter and sell Lukaku permanently, whilst Inter are hoping to re-sign the forward on a new loan deal, not wanting to lose Barella. Newcastle United are also reportedly interested in the midfielder.

On Instagram today, a group of Inter ultras expressed their resistance to the idea of seeing Barella depart in the summer transfer window, saying: “Interista born, present and future. Untouchable.”

The 26-year-old Barella is contracted to Inter until 2026 and is a core part of the squad in the Lombardy capital. This season, he saw over 4000 minutes of action in 52 appearances across all competitions.

3 thought on “Inter ultras call Barella ‘untouchable’ after Lukaku swap reports”
  1. Barella will be come a better player if he goes to Liverpool, he will improve under klop .

  2. Barella does not need to learn anything from Premier League or anywhere else. Barella is a talent born in Inter and excelling at Inter

  3. Like me at players who go to the Prem from Italy, Barella would become a worse player. Kpop would teach him how to play worse for an inferior team…
