According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan need at least six or seven new signings in the summer, but the priorities are a midfielder ‘similar to Franck Kessié’, one attacking winger and a striker.
The Rossoneri have been knocked out of the Champions League semifinals at the hands of city rivals Inter and need to know whether they’ll play in Europe’s elite competition next season to have a clear idea about their transfer budget for the summer.
According to Wednesday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (page 15), Milan need six or seven reinforcements, including one central midfielder similar to their ex-star Kessié, one attacking winger and a centre forward, considering that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will almost surely leave San Siro at the end of the season.
Paolo Maldini said on Tuesday that Milan need ‘to invest’ to strengthen the team, although the Rossoneri won’t change their transfer strategy, targeting young and promising players who can develop at the club.
However, according to the same report, Maldini’s position could be under scrutiny if the Rossoneri fails to play in the Champions League next season.
Priority 1 – Sack Maldini
Priority 2 – Get Cardinale to come clean with his plans
Priority 3 – do everything to bring Zorro and Gazidis back.
