The Aquile look to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat but these Lazio vs. Lecce predictions suggest the task could be tougher than many imagine. Maurizio Sarri’s side have dropped into third place in Serie A and need a win over the relegation-threatened Giallorossi.
Lazio vs. Lecce odds
1 – Lazio to win – 7/10
2 – One team to score – 8/11
3 – Ciro Immobile to score anytime – 8/5
4 – Lecce to win – 5/1
5 – Lecce to win 2-1 – 20/1
Lecce travel to the Stadio Olimpico hoping to continue their remarkable recent form against Lazio. The Giallorossi have won their last two games against the Aquile and are in desperate need of three points as the season draws to a close.
Marco Baroni’s side have spent much of their campaign with a comfortable distance between themselves and the bottom three. But an awful run of form and improved performance from Verona has seen the Salentini fall to within four points of the relegation zone and needing at least one win to ensure safety.
Unfortunately for the visitors, Saturday’s trip to the capital is unlikely to provide the points that they desperately need. Lazio have lost just eight games all season and are our tip to secure victory in their hunt for second place.
Maurizio Sarri will be keen to get back to action, with last weekend’s defeat to Milan one of Lazio’s worst performances of the season. Ciro Immobile in particular, so often the catalyst for success, looked particularly off the pace and was a passenger for most of the game.
Following a full week of training, however, we expect Lazio to be back to their very best, with Immobile our tip to score anytime. The Aquile will be able to play with confidence given that Lecce have scored just once in their last four games, meaning that the hosts will be able to concentrate on attacking themselves.
Lecce should not give up all hope, however, and should look to their past performances against Lazio for inspiration. The Salentini have won their last two encounters with the Aquile 2-1, with Lorenzo Colombo and Gabriele Strefezza scoring in the reverse fixture.
Maurizio Sarri’s side are going through their worst spell of the season, losing three of the last four matches. A late-season implosion from Lazio is unlikely, but a shock Lecce win could be worth the high stakes.

Matias Vecino and Danilo Cataladi are both absent from Lazio’s midfield due to injury, meaning Marcos Antonio will start once again. Following a poor performance against Milan, Maurizio Sarri may look to bring in the likes of Manuel Lazzari and Pedro on the right flank.
Lecce team news
Marco Baroni has his full squad available and is unlikely to make extensive changes ahead of Saturday’s clash. Lameck Banda will hope to be handed a chance to feature on the wing, while Lorenzo Colombo is pushing for his first start in five games.
