After 11 years in the French capital, Marco Verratti is reportedly starting to have doubts about his future with Paris Saint-Germain.

The 30-year-old Italian midfielder has been with the Parisian giants since the summer of 2012, joining from Pescara in a deal worth around €12m. Since his arrival, he’s been an impressive but controversial player, making 411 appearances across all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit.

Things have not been easy for Verratti this season, failing to live up to his usual quality across his 33 total appearances. In PSG’s recent 3-1 loss to FC Lorient, the Italian again failed to impress, looking lost and dejected on the pitch.

As reported by L’Equipe, Verratti is now starting to have doubts about his future with PSG and is considering leaving the club in the summer. He is contracted to the Ligue 1 giants until June 2026, so it may not be cheap to pry him from the French capital.

The 30-year-old has started to grow frustrated with the general atmosphere surrounding PSG, and how players are often the target of the fans’ frustration, despite any possibly mistakes from the management.

The report also states that clubs in Saudi Arabia are interested in picking up the Italian midfielder, although he’d be keen on a return to Italy.
