Former Napoli star Lorenzo Insigne congratulated his brother Roberto on earning Serie A promotion with Frosinone: ‘Proud of you.’
The Ciociari returned to Serie A for the first time in four years, beating Filippo Inzaghi’s Reggina 3-1 on Monday. It was a clash between Italy’s World Cup winners as Frosinone are coached by former defender Fabio Grosso.
Roberto Insigne scored in Frosinone’s 3-1 win on Monday. He is the younger brother of Lorenzo, a former Napoli winger who joined Toronto FC as a free agent in 2022.
Lorenzo took to social media on Monday night to congratulate his brother. He shared a picture of Roberto in his Instagram stories, writing: ‘Proud of you, bro.’
Roberto Insigne has played a key role in Frosinone’s promotion this season with eight goals and two assists in 29 league appearances. His contract at the Stadio Stirpe expires in June 2024.
