Torino are fresh from a surprise victory over Lazio and want to cause another upset against an Atalanta side chasing European qualification.
It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).
This is also a meeting of coach Ivan Juric and his mentor Gian Piero Gasperini, who learned from him first as a player, then an assistant manager.
Toro shook up the race for the top four last week by surprising Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico, but have lost Nemanja Radonjic to a hamstring strain for several weeks, joining Ola Aina, David Zima and Ronaldo Vieira on the treatment table.
It is a special game also for Aleksei Miranchuk, on loan from Atalanta.
Atalanta are still without Ademola Lookman, Matteo Ruggeri, Hans Hateboer and Caleb Okoli, while Marco Sportiello is again preferred to Juan Musso in goal.
