Perr Schuurs has exceeded expectations in his first season with Torino and Newcastle United are the latest Premier League club to emerge for the 23-year-old, reports detail.
The Granata picked up the Dutch centre back from Ajax last summer for around €14m total, a fee he’s already justified with his impressive debut campaign in Serie A.
Schuurs has already attracted the attention of a number of clubs in the Premier League, including Liverpool and Tottenham, and now more competition has emerged for the Torino defender’s signature.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Newcastle have been following Schuurs for a little while now and have been impressed by what they’ve seen, so are planning to make an offer for the 23-year-old in the summer.
Torino do not want to lose the defender, so it would take at least €30m to secure his signature. He is contracted to the club until June 2026.
Schuurs has made 23 Serie A appearances this season, impressing with his confidence and on-pitch leadership skills.
