Multiple sources claim that Udinese are in advanced negotiations to sign FC Cincinnati striker Brenner, who is expected to replace Beto.

CBS, Sky Sport Italia, La Gazzetta dello Sport and Sportitalia all claim an offer worth $10m has been presented to the MLS club.

It is widely believed the deal is close and will be done to bring Brenner to Serie A in the summer.

The Brazilian centre-forward is seen as the natural heir to Portuguese striker Beto, who has already attracted interest from big clubs this summer.

Brenner turned 23 in January and is a product of the Sao Paulo system, as after a loan spell with Fluminense, he was sold to Cincinnati for €12m in February 2021.

He has scored an impressive 27 goals and provided seven assists in 72 competitive games for FC Cincinnati.

It would be the second deal done by Udinese for the 2023-24 campaign, as they officially signed left-back Jordan Zemura as a free agent, because his current contract with Bournemouth expires on June 30.
