Inter have partnered with UNICEF to auction off their match-worn Champions League shirts to support those affected by the recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.
Last month, devastating earthquakes and aftershocks struck the south-east of Turkey and north-west of Syria, killing tens of thousands and leaving millions more homeless.
Adana Demirspor coach Vincenzo Montella has been vocal about the horrors he’s seen in Turkey and started a humanitarian association to raise funds for the victims of the disaster, saying that the ‘heartbreak is beyond imagination’.
As highlighted by Calcio e Finanza, Inter and UNICEF have partnered up to support the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria, auctioning off match-worn shorts from the Round of 16 first leg with Porto.
On sale from March 6 to 11 on eBay, the proceeds of the auction will go to UNICEF’s intervention work in the affected areas, helping provide medical supplies, emergency shelters, first aid and food.
