Lazio will be forced to play against Atalanta without top scorer Ciro Immobile today and the statistics on how they’ve fared in his absence do not make for reassuring reading.
It kicks off at the Gewiss Arena in Bergamo at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).
Immobile has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a thigh strain, although recent reports suggest he is pushing to recover far quicker than that.
Since his arrival in the 2016-17 season, Lazio have won 54.6% of their official matches with Immobile on the field, specifically 149 out of 273.
In his absence, that win percentage plummets to just 27%, as they got only nine victories in 33 games.
Reducing that to just Serie A, Lazio earned an average of 1.86 points per game with Immobile, compared to just 0.8 points without him.
In that period, Immobile has only missed 20 Serie A matches, resulting in six wins, seven draws and seven defeats.
On the other hand, Lazio could be on the verge of making history, because they are currently on five consecutive Serie A clean sheets.
The all-time record for the club is seven in a row, set under Sven Goran Eriksson from February to March 1998.
