Stefano Pioli explains his squad rotation as Milan host Monza, with advice for Divock Origi and Ante Rebic. ‘They need to move well to find those gaps.’
It kicks off at San Siro at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).
“Monza are a well-organised team with good quality. We need to play with quality, tempo and solidity,” the coach told DAZN.
Origi gets his first start in the Rossoneri jersey and Rebic also returns to the starting XI after recovering from injury, as Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao finally have some rest.
“They can give us a different way of attacking into space. Monza will be aggressive, so the strikers need to move well to find those gaps.
“I would’ve rotated the squad more if it had been possible. I have a strong squad and we are ready to play a good game.”
