L’Equipe claims that Juventus have started talks with OGC Nice forward Amine Gouiri, eager to get him on loan with an option to buy, but that will cost €30m.
The 22-year-old striker is one of the most talented young players in Ligue 1 and was expected to start against Olympique Marseille today, but was left out following a reported row with coach Lucien Favre.
That put him on the transfer market, with Rennes the favourites, but Juventus have now entered the fray with an intriguing proposal.
It’s reported the Bianconeri have been in contact with Nice consultant Alain Migliaccio to discuss the situation.
Nice are also lowering their original €40m asking price and would be ready to talk for closer to €30m.
It’s still a lot for Juventus and their current budget, so they want Gouiri on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
He’d be the second centre-forward picked up from Ligue 1, as Arkadiusz Milik moved from Olympique Marseille to Juventus on loan with an option to buy.
Nice had purchased Gouiri from Olympique Lyonnais in the summer of 2020 at a cost of €7m and he contributed 12 goals with 10 assists in 43 competitive games last season.
I’d rather have this guy than Milik.
never seen this guy play, but hes highly rated in france
Highly rated until he has to play in the PhD Hexagon.
