Verona have announced the signing of U21 Scotland international Josh Doig in James Bond style.

The 20-year-old has completed a permanent transfer to the Stadio Bentegodi from Hibernian. The U21 Scotland international has signed a contract until June 2026.

The Gialloblu have confirmed his signing with a video featuring the famous 007 soundtrack.

The new signing is seen wearing a jacket and turning to the camera, saying: ‘My name is Doig, Josh Doig.’

The versatile full-back played 78 games at a senior level with Hibernian, scoring one goal.

  2. @ Mohammed – Just because you’ve not heard of him doesn’t make him a bad player. Arsenal and Manchester United had been looking very closely at Doig and he’s widely regarded as one of the best young talents in Scotland. They have a history of unearthing Caledonian gems like Hickey so I think this is a really smart move.
