Atalanta are without Ruslan Malinovskyi, Jeremie Boga, Rafael Toloi and Aleksei Miranchuk for the trip to Bologna.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Malinovskyi has a stomach bug and will be left to rest this weekend while his teammates travel to the Stadio Dall’Ara.
The Ukraine international had started Thursday’s 1-0 Europa League victory away to Bayer Leverkusen.
As for Boga, who got the winner in Leverkusen, he is struggling with a knee problem.
Miranchuk had already missed that visit to Germany.
Coach Gian Piero Gasperini will also have to do without injured Toloi, who has been ruled out for a month with a flexor strain, and suspended Davide Zappacosta.
Duvan Zapata and Josip Ilicic are long-term absentees, but Marten de Roon returns from his ban.
