The majority of the Inter squad has no experience playing Liverpool at Anfield, with Robin Gosens finding the most success.
The Nerazzurri lost the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 at home 2-0, thanks to goals from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah. The second leg kicks off tomorrow at 20.00 UK time.
As highlighted by Corriere dello Sport, only six Inter players have ever played at Anfield and only two have left with a win, Robin Gosens with Atalanta and Matteo Darmian with Manchester United.
In la Dea’s 2-0 win at Anfield back in November 2020, Gosens netted the second goal to secure a historic win for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.
Less positive are the records of Arturo Vidal, who lost with Barcelona, and Edin Dzeko, who has travelled to Anfield nine times but never won. Alexis Sanchez and Aleksandar Kolarov are also on the list, although the latter isn’t part of the Champions League squad.
