Napoli goalkeeper David Ospina is at risk of missing Colombia’s upcoming World Cup qualifier against Argentina.
The 33-year-old shot stopper is one of the key players in the Colombian national team, having made 121 caps since his debut in February 2007. He has played in every World Cup qualifier last year, as well as the full 90 minutes of the 1-0 loss to Peru last week.
As reported by El Pais, Ospina risks missing Colombia’s qualifier against Argentina after coming down with food poisoning. He is set to undergo a round of tests to determine if he’ll be fit enough to play or not, being such a key figure for his team.
The 33-year-old Ospina, whose contract expires with Napoli at the end of this season, has made 21 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1845 minutes. In that time, he’s conceded 17 goals and kept 10 clean sheets, keeping Alex Meret out of the starting lineup.
