Ronaldo

Manchester City are reportedly out of the race to sign Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo, as Manchester United swoop for the Portugal captain.

BBC reporter Simon Stone claims City will not be signing the former Real Madrid and United star, as they ‘considered the possibility but decided against it’.

Ronaldo has left Continassa for the last time today, as he informed his teammates he will not continue at Juventus and Jorge Mendes is reportedly in talks with Manchester United over a possible return to Old Trafford.

Manchester United are reportedly offering a two-year deal, according to Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, whilst City are only offering a one-year deal with bonuses.

United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed the Red Devils are ready to give Ronaldo an exit route, as he wishes to leave the Old Lady.

Ronaldo is closer and closer to a return to Manchester, and to the red part of the city.

  1. would have been interesting if he had gone to the plastics. as long as we get the fee…or towards Paul 😉

  2. It could open the door for Pogba to return, would be a great addition to our midfield, especially because he knows the city/club/coach and some of the players still around. Then Kean for the attack. That way it could be a good mercato for Juve in the end. Anyway, just Ronaldo leaving is the best transfer in years. Back to our dna, back to Juve!

  3. If anything, he’s probably less likely to win silverware at Man U in the next few years than at Juve. But he’ll probably have an easier time walking over Solskjaer than Allegri. He’ll get his way, he can add to his goal tally, and he can build on his legacy as the second best Ronaldo to have played the game. Addio, Ronaldo, mai più.
