Bruno Alves left Parma this summer but returns to Italy immediately, as he is expected to sign with Crotone in Serie B.
The Rossoblu were relegated from Serie A last term and Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports the 39-year-old is ready for a return to Italy.
The centre-back moved to Portuguese side Famalicao in July, but his contract was terminated within 20 days and he has been without a club since.
Bruno Alves, who spent three seasons with the Gialloblu after a stint with Rangers in Scotland, has returned to Italian football for a third spell, as he previously played for Cagliari in 2016-17.
The former Portugal international, capped 96 times by the national team, is on his way to Crotone and ready to restart in Serie B with Francesco Modesto’s team.
Bruno Alves arrives with experience from spells at top clubs like FC Porto, Fenerbahce and Zenit St. Petersburg abroad, but has also 121 appearances in Serie A during his time with Parma and Cagliari.
