Federico Chiesa feels his first Champions League appearance for Juventus ‘could not have gone better’ after a 2-0 win away to Dynamo Kiev.
This was his Champions League debut and only his second match in the Juve jersey, after his red card in the 1-1 draw with Crotone on Saturday.
“I put myself at the disposal of the coach and did what he asked, which was to stay wide and take my man on when I had the ball,” Chiesa told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was fantastic to make my debut in the Champions League, especially as we won, so it could not have gone better. We wanted this win to start strong and gave everything we had to emerge from this difficult arena with all three points.
“There was a lot of criticism after the Crotone draw, which is natural, because expectations are always very high at Juventus. We’re expected to win every time we step onto the pitch.”
Chiesa was used on the left flank, with Juan Cuadrado on the right, confirming his tactical versatility.
“I play wherever the coach puts me and make sure I am ready. The coach wants us to change the play up and take men on down the flanks. We did well both here and in Crotone to break the deadlock in games that could’ve created some problems.”
