Roberto D’Aversa hit out at Parma for how they ‘fell apart inexplicably’ during their 3-2 defeat to Sampdoria on Sunday.
Parma were 2-0 up and seemingly cruising but ended up losing their sixth match from seven in Serie A as Samp staged a second-half comeback.
“We played one of our best first halves this season we could’ve killed the game off after going 2-0 up,” D’Aversa told Sky Sport Italia.

“We played one of our best first halves this season we could’ve killed the game off after going 2-0 up,” D’Aversa told Sky Sport Italia.
“We conceded from their first attempts on goal and stopped both playing and winning 50-50s, as has often happened to us in this period.
“There was no contest in the first half, and instead here I am talking about a lost game of football.
“It’s most likely the result of this period. How we fell apart after conceding a goal from a corner is inexplicable.
“We must draw lessons from this game. Hopefully this game allows us to face our next ones with a ruthless streak and get results.”
