Koulibaly has been linked with a move away from the Azzurri after the current campaign and the Senegal international will leave a big void to be filled by Gennaro Gattuso.

The outlet claims that the former Kaiserslautern player could be an affordable alternative, as his current deal with Freiburg expires in June 2021.

The centre-back has already been capped twice by Germany and has played 24 games in Bundesliga this term, scoring once in the process.

President Aurelio De Laurentiis has already spent €14m to bring Amir Rrahmani to Naples from Hellas Verona but the Kosovo international will most likely be joined by another alternative in the defensive department should Koulibaly leave.
