Antonio Conte is reaping the rewards of the club’s very active January transfer strategy, as he is now able to count on Eriksen, Young and Moses.

All three start this evening, which represents the Serie A debut for both the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and ex-Chelsea wing-back.

They had come off the bench for their Nerazzurri bows in the midweek Coppa Italia win over Fiorentina.

The biggest news is in goal, because captain Handanovic is ruled out by an injury to his finger and there are reports it could also affect his participation in the Derby della Madonnina next week.

Daniele Padelli therefore gets a rare start, having made just two Coppa Italia appearances for Inter since joining in 2017.

The last Serie A match for the 34-year-old was during Torino’s 5-1 win over Bologna on August 28, 2016.

Lautaro Martinez begins his two-match ban for the furious reaction against the referee in the 1-1 draw with Cagliari, but it is Sebastiano Esposito who gets the nod rather than Alexis Sanchez alongside Romelu Lukaku.

Stefano Sensi, Roberto Gagliardini and Marcelo Brozovic are all out injured.

As for Udinese, Bram Nuytinck has shaken off an injury scare to start in defence, with only Samir on the treatment table.

Stefano Okaka and Kevin Lasagna start together in attack, with Rolando Mandragora pulling the midfield strings.

Inter have won eight of their last 10 Serie A meetings with Udinese, losing one, and kept four consecutive clean sheets against them. However, coach Luca Gotti is still unbeaten at the Dacia Arena, with two victories and two stalemates.

Gotti was promoted to the role of caretaker manager on November 1 when Igor Tudor was fired, but despite insisting he does not want the main job, Udinese are in no hurry to find a replacement, as he’s overseen five wins, two draws and six losses in all competition.
