Dries Mertens was torn between celebrating a 4-1 victory away to Roma and worrying Napoli “should’ve scored more goals.”

It was 1-1 at the break thanks to a Diego Perotti penalty, but the Partenopei ran riot.

“We deserved the win and it’s just a pity we didn’t score more goals in the first half too,” Mertens told Sky Sport Italia.

“We deserved the win and it’s just a pity we didn’t score more goals in the first half too,” Mertens told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was a step forward and we are continuing to develop as a team. I am certainly happy to have found the net and hope to carry on like this. The season isn’t over yet and we’ll see what happens.”

The Belgian limped off in the second half and was seen with ice strapped to his knee.

“I was up against Aleksandar Kolarov, who is a bit of a beast! My knee hurt a bit, but I’m fine.”
