Napoli’s lawyer admits Marek Hamsik’s proposed exit is ‘still uncertain’ as Carlo Ancelotti told Dalian Yifang ‘do as De Laurentiis says or don’t do anything at all.’
Hamsik’s move to Dalian seemed to be back on, with a deal scheduled for completion before Wednesday, but Mattia Grassani reiterated an agreement would only be found on Napoli’s terms.
“It’s a complex deal and the outcome is still uncertain. There’s been no definitive communication,” he told Radio CRC.
“Since there are eight hours difference between China and Italy and, above all, different ways of reasoning, negotiations are becomes more and more complex.
“The economic aspects are crucial in these deals. We’re still on track, but Mr. Ancelotti has presented an ultimatum to the Chinese club: do as President De Laurentiis says or don’t do anything at all.
“Between tomorrow and Wednesday, we’ll all-but-know the outcome. Napoli aren’t a club who can be taken for a ride.
“President Aurelio De Laurentiis has imposed the dignity of club, carrying out the conditions for the permanent transfer without letting any third parties change them.
“There’s a wonderful relationship between Hamsik and Napoli so they’ve given him this great opportunity to go and play in China, as long as the President’s demands are met.
“One of the points of discord during talks was the ambiguity of the Chinese club. There’s no issue of guarantees but rather transactions.
“This affair has left the club holding its breath, so we hope for a happy ending.”
