French sports newspaper L’Équipe reports that Italy international Marco Verratti was arrested for drink-driving on Tuesday night.
The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder was allegedly caught driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.49mg/l on the ring road in the 13th arrondissement of Paris.
That is more than double the French legal limit of 0.20mg/l, and the newspaper reports via a "police source" that he was put in a sobering cell before being allowed to leave.

Verratti will be charged for the alleged crime at a later date, and risks a long suspension of his driving licence.
PSG are expected to discipline him, as this would represent a break in the ethics code in the Italian’s contract.
