The FIGC’s general manager has hailed the ‘synergy’ between Italy CT Roberto Mancini and Serie A clubs.
Mancini’s Azzurri reign has so far been characterised by a desire for Serie A sides to blood more Italians, and Michele Uva is confident the stance will pay dividends.
“The objective given to Mancini is to take Italy to Euros and for them to give a beautiful account of themselves,” he told Sport Mediaset.

“In the event of qualification for the European Championship, the relationship will last until the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
“Mancini has worked in close synergy with all the staff. Once a President is sworn in then there will also be a contact point higher up.
“Failure is always talked about and never the investment in young players. It’ll give us the basis for a high-level European Championship campaign, which Italy deserves.
“There are times when there are generational changes, so we must build a group who can enjoy great satisfaction.
“We’ve been working on synergy with clubs for four years. It’s essential and we’re working very well together.”
