Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic was furious with the referee and VAR after a 1-0 home defeat to Parma. “The goal should’ve been disallowed.”
Federico Dimarco scored the winner with a rasping strike from distance that bounced in off the underside of the bar.
However, before that he could so easily have been sent off and given away a penalty, but VAR officials opted not to take action on his possible handling offence.

However, before that he could so easily have been sent off and given away a penalty, but VAR officials opted not to take action on his possible handling offence.
“We attacked for the entire game without being able to break through, then we conceded a goal out of nowhere,” the goalkeeper told Inter TV.
“I didn’t see the shot leave his foot, as there was a Parma player blocking my view and he was offside, so the goal should’ve been disallowed.
“I have nothing more to add, we are not seeking alibis, but the officials in the VAR booth have to see what’s happening. There was also an incredible penalty and they just ignored it.
“We should’ve done more in front of goal and it all should’ve been different, but this is football and on Tuesday we have another opportunity to do well with Tottenham.”
This will incredibly be the Champions League career debut for veteran Slovenia international Handanovic.
“I don’t know how it’ll feel. Tottenham are one of the top teams in the tournament and we must prepare well.
“We have to find the fire within ourselves to overcome this difficult moment. We haven’t reaped what we sowed so far this season, but I don’t believe in bad luck. We have to reboot and get back on track, taking note of what didn’t quite work.”
