Udinese suffered an eighth consecutive defeat, 2-1 to Lazio, but Massimo Oddo raged “the referee changed the game.”
Kevin Lasagna had opened the scoring with a diving header, but Ciro Immobile and Luis Alberto turned it around.
“I don’t think Lazio had an easy time of it at all, as we made them struggle a lot,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.
“The game was absolutely changed by the referee. We were facing a strong opponent and the lads gave all they had. If it wasn’t yet another defeat, I’d say I was satisfied with the performance.”
Oddo and Udinese were furious at the equaliser, believing Adam Marusic had fouled Jakub Jankto in the build-up.
“I would comment on that Marusic foul, but I don’t want to risk getting a ban. Rocchi cannot ignore a foul like that. The problem with referees now is that if you go to speak to them, they threaten to send you to the stands. I didn’t even complain, I asked for some clarification.
“I note it’s usually when the referees know they made a mistake and don’t want to explain themselves, so they just tell you to go away.
“I’m not saying I am the victim of an injustice. I’m saying that I am a person who admits when he’s made a mistake, but evidently that isn’t the case for everyone.”
