Inter CEO Alessandro Antonello assures their “plans have not changed” with Walter Sabatini’s departure, nor will they “dismantle” the squad.

Technical co-ordinator Sabatini terminated his contract by mutual consent this week, just hours after Coach Fabio Capello quit Jiangsu Suning.

“We are surprised that after Sabatini’s departure, there was even talk in the media of dismantling Inter, going so far as to suggest Suning could walk away,” Antonello told news agency Ansa.

“Our plans have not changed. We want to bring the club into the Champions League and ensure it stays there on a stable basis.

“We continue to be focused on this season and planning for the next. No words can destabilise us. If anything, they’ll make us stronger and reinforce our medium-to-long-term projects.

“We will carry on working for our fans, for their passion that they prove by filling the stadium every Sunday and letting us feel their support from all corners of the globe.”
