Cagliari have presented three possible designs for their new stadium, with a decision to be made in April.

The Isolani are looking to build a new arena in their city, with a capacity of between 24,000 and 30,000.

Yesterday the three remaining plans were presented, and they will be on display in the hospitality area of the Sardegna Arena from today until March 9.

There will be a form of public consultation over which design is preferred, but the final decision will be taken by the club.

“It will be a great challenge for us, in early April we’ll make the final choice,” President Tommasi Giulini said at the presentation.

“The fans will give us suggestions, but we’ll be spoiled for choice. All of the architects say they have remained within a budget which will be sustainable for our club.

“We started out to make a stadium with 21,000 seats, but now we’re between 24,000 and 30,000. We will have to present a new financial plan but I'm sure we will find the solutions.

“I’m not worried about financing in case it goes over budget. In six or seven months we’ll define the final project, the agreements with the region and the city have already been crystallised.”
