Inter are reportedly hard at work on a deal for Paris Saint-Germain’s Javier Pastore, in what would be a loan with a conditional obligation to buy.
The Nerazzurri have been heavily linked with the midfielder this month, but the Financial Fair Play situation of both clubs is making a deal difficult.
PSG spent €220m on Neymar in the summer, and have committed to buying Kylian Mbappé outright for €180m after this season’s loan.

They therefore need to sell players before June 30 to ensure that they don’t fall foul of UEFA’s regulations, and if they let Pastore go they need it to be a permanent deal.
The Beneamata are on the opposite end of the same problem, in that they can’t spend before June 30 or they risk missing their own FFP targets.
That means they can loan players, but they can’t buy or commit to buying before July.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Inter directors Piero Ausilio and Walter Sabatini are working on a way to formulate the transfer, and are looking at a loan with obligation to buy, but only if certain conditions are met.
That could be appearances, goals or Champions League qualification, but it would mean they wouldn’t have to put a transfer fee on the books now.
PSG Coach Unai Emery said today that he wants to keep Pastore, but admitted it’s up to the player.
