“Playing here is genuinely complicated and nothing is to be taken for granted, for example that someone steps on to the field and sees the pitch the same way he does anywhere else,” the captain told Rai Sport.
“The passion of the Bernabeu and 90,000 fans can certainly affect you, but we are a fairly young team and I hope the healthy madness of these lads can help them keep their focus in such a difficult context.
“The first objective must be to play as a team, with the kind of performance that gives us confidence, proving we have taken on a certain mentality and specific ideas.
