Juve cancelled out the ‘MSN’ strike force of Barcelona, so how will their defence fare against Monaco?

“I don’t think we should consider Messi, Neymar and Suarez, but rather focus on our own style of football and winning the match,” he said in his Press conference.

“Radamel Falcao is a great player and a great man. Before I only knew him by name, now he is my teammate and he frightens the opposition defences. He is a very important figure for us on the pitch.

“We have talked about the Juventus players and I don’t think we’ll be surprised by anything. Monaco and Juventus were two very different teams when we last met two years ago. Tomorrow will be a very different game too.

“It’s a great pleasure to take on a team like Juventus and games of this kind really motivate players. We hope to do well and have the best possible performance.

This is the first time in the knockouts that Monaco have played the first leg at home. Are they aware of the importance of keeping a clean sheet here?

“Of course it’ll be a different approach, we’ll try to keep a clean sheet and be wary of Juve counter-attacks. Above all, it’s important for us to score.”

Monaco are top of Ligue 1 with a three-point advantage over Paris Saint-Germain. Does that further boost their confidence?

“It won’t be easy, it’s going to be very difficult. For now we want to focus on winning in the Champions League and will think about Ligue 1 later.”
