Empoli Coach Giovanni Martusciello has called on his players to show a reaction to having suffered three straight defeats.
The Azzurri are just one place above the relegation zone ahead of Sunday’s meeting with Bologna, a match the tactician describes as ‘important.’
“We are talking about an important clash,” Martusciello told a Press conference. “It allows us to also bring Bologna down into the fight for safety.

“What concerns me is my players’ reaction, I don’t look at others but obviously we need to use all the weapons the team has.”
Martusciello was then asked about the fitness of Vincent Laurini, but responded that the right-back may be scared of playing following a muscle injury.
“Laurini? He has trained consistently, I need to find out whether he is confident or whether he is scared of playing because this Empoli should not have fear.”
