“I'd like to congratulate my teammates, we really showed we have what it takes. We still have three finals to play, but winning on such a difficult pitch was essential.

“It had been too long since our last victory. We're happy we could give such a great joy to our supporters and to all Palermo. I hope they'll fill up the Barbera on Sunday, we need all of their warmth.

“We're pleased to have responded on the pitch to so many things that have been said and written about us.”
