The Bianconeri were eliminated from the Champions League on Wednesday, going down 4-2 to Bayern Munich after extra time, with the last Italian side in Europe – Lazio – bowing out of the Europa League the next day.
“Having a big game like the Derby will restore Juventus’ energy,” Pirlo predicted on Sky ahead of tomorrow’s game with Torino.

“Italy was unfortunate in Europe, above all with Napoli and Fiorentina. It’s too bad for Juve, as the Bianconeri could have reached the final again this year.”
The veteran midfielder was part of the side which lost the showpiece to Barcelona in Berlin last season, but moved to MLS side New York City in the summer.
