The Coach had been appointed as their third tactician of the campaign after sacking Beppe Iachini and Davide Ballardini.

The Argentine was never allowed to sit on the bench because he lacked the requisite certificate required in Serie A.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Schelotto could’ve been given a temporary permit if he had taken the ‘basic’ test ahead of the Coverciano Masters degree course.

However, he preferred to leave Italy entirely rather than go through this process and is now being linked with the job at Boca Juniors.

Sky claim Palermo are angry with Schelotto and feel he didn’t do all he could to ensure the best outcome, so President Maurizio Zamparini could sue for damages.

He might even take legal action against the advisors who suggested Schelotto as an option, neglecting to point out the paperwork problems.
