Genoa defender Nicolas Burdisso says Coach Gian Piero Gasperini is ‘underrated’ and that they will take an ‘aggressive’ style to Empoli.
The Grifone won a pulsating match against Chievo 3-2 on the weekend and travel to face Empoli in Serie A on Saturday.
Gasperini’s side have hit a good run of form, picking up two wins and a draw in their last three matches, and Burdisso believes the Coach deserves more credit.

“It was a wonderful match against Chievo but the game that was a real turning point was against Milan,” said the 34-year-old at today’s Press conference.
“We’re still lacking an away win, on Sunday we must win and we’re working towards this.
“We won’t change our aggressive style of play against Empoli. We are growing and we have to continue like this.
“Before Chievo we always gave a good performance. Now we’ve got all our players back, but it’s easier to work having picked up three points against the Gialloblu.
“The Coach transmits a great mentality to us, he believes in his work and the gesture of Izzo and Ntcham on Sunday makes you understand what I’m saying.
“In the past I said that Gasperini reminds me of Mourinho for the information that he gives you before the match. Now he knows that everyone supports him, he’s an underrated Coach who offers a different and entertaining style of football.
“He’s a teacher who makes you want to train the next day.
“What’s the difference between the Stadio Ferraris and the Bombonera? Only the exterior structure, inside there are the same emotions.”
