According to Chilean papers who have read the police report, Vidal not only insulted them after the accident, but even tried to throw a punch at one of the officers.
He was caught on videophone telling police “fine, arrest me, but if you do then you’ll be ruining it for all of Chile.”
Vidal was not excluded from the Copa America squad, but made a tearful public apology in a Press conference.
His driving licence was suspended and he'll have to sign on at the Chilean embassy in Milan once a month for the next 120 days while the investigation continues.
