A final decision on whether to grant Genoa a UEFA licence will be made tomorrow, according to reports.

The Grifone were initially denied a licence to compete in European competition by the FIGC, but have appealed to the Italian olympic committee, CONI, to be allowed to compete.

Calciomercato reports that a hearing will take place at 5pm UK time tomorrow, when a final decision will be made.

Should Genoa be denied a licence, seventh place in Serie A would receive the Europa League place they currently occupy.

That would likely go to city rivals Sampdoria, though Inter could still theoretically take the space, as their head-to-head record with Samp is equal, with each having beaten the other 1-0.

That would mean goal difference would be used to separate the sides, with the Nerazzurri currently four goals better off in that regard.
