Milan Coach Filippo Inzaghi says he’s not thinking about his future and insists he believes in his players.
The Rossoneri have been on a terrible run of form, and currently lie 10th in Serie A, with speculation that a poor result against Cagliari tomorrow will see the Coach dismissed.
“I think in Florence [a 2-1 defeat to Fiorentina] you could see the team is behind the Coach,” Inzaghi insisted in his pre-match Press conference.

“I think in Florence [a 2-1 defeat to Fiorentina] you could see the team is behind the Coach,” Inzaghi insisted in his pre-match Press conference.
“That’s the best answer. I hope to stay here for a long time, [but] the club will decide my future by evaluating results. I believe in these players.
“We have to get back to winning and take three points. We’re coming off of a series of games where we’ve gotten less than we deserved. We played well in Florence.
“We did well until Christmas, then we had several injuries which complicated everything. I’ve always said that I think this team needs three midfielders and three forwards.
“When I have the whole squad available that’s the formation we do best in. We did well in Florence, we’re on the right track.
“We should have been up by at least two goals, then we lost two silly goals. That was the only mistake we made.
“When you’re Coach of Milan you know that you’ll be criticised. The team is giving me good feedback, so I go on my way. I’m calm.
“We have to get the fans back on our side with results, less talk, more action. Negative periods can happen, we accept being booed when deserve it.
“We have to turn those boos into cheers.”
The former striker did, however, accept that he is to blame for Milan’s poor position.
“I don’t want to pin the blame on others, I’m the Coach so I’m primarily responsible. Until January we saw a good Milan, then everyone knows what happened.
“Now we’ll try and finish the season well, and see what happens at the end.
“At the end of the season the club will evaluate my work, and decide calmly what to do. Everyone here wants what’s best for Milan, starting with me.
“I’m only thiking about this team playing well, we have to control the games in our next 11 fixtures. We have to start from what we did in Florence, because we were a real team.”
