Torino Coach Giampiero Ventura has expressed his delight at his players’ attitude following their Europa League progression.
The Granata beat Swedish side Brommapojkarna 4-0 on the night at Stadio Olimpico this evening, a 7-0 victory on aggregate.
Speaking to the media after the third qualifying round second leg, the Toro boss paid tribute to his team’s willingness to work despite the fact qualification was inevitable even prior to kick off.
“I saw the desire of the boys to play and make the right movements and fine tune our game,” Ventura told reporters.
“We didn’t want to throw the game away, our ability to see the spaces was important. Tonight Torino showed an important message along with its crowd.”
Ventura then issued a plea to Toro fans to fill Stadio Olimpico more regularly.
“It was nice to see such a full stadium on August 7, it’s great to be Granata!
“It would be fantastic if the stadium were always so full and if everyone could be Granata even when we are maybe losing a match.”
