With the film producer today celebrating his 65th birthday, the former Valencia, Liverpool, Inter and Chelsea boss released a message of congratulations and gratitude to his President.
“Dear Aurelio, a long season has just finished, my first at Napoli,” Benitez wrote on Napoli’s official website. “Together with many collaborators we have built something new for this city.
“We have laid the foundations for the project that from the first day we had in mind – to create a team with a winning mentality on an international level.
“I thank you for the trust that you have put in me since the beginning, and for having believed in my ideas.
“The wish that I make for you is that all the great things you have done for this club be only half of what you will get back in the future.
