“For all the players who are with their national teams, the World Cup is a beautiful thing,” he told Il Mattino.
“I had the good fortune to play in one, and it really is the most fantastic thing.
“I can’t imagine what will happen if we win it. It’ll be difficult because there are so many great teams, but we have the right attitude and have a great team ready to do great things.
“But every national team who goes to the World Cup thinks they can win it.
“Italy? What can I say? They’ve won four World Cups. They’re always dangerous.”
