Fiorentina’s Borja Valero admits he is still unsure whether teammates Giuseppe Rossi and Mario Gomez will be fit for the Coppa Italia final.

The strike duo have both been long term absentees at different times this season but are fighting to be involved in the match against Napoli.

“Rossi and Gomez would be another string to our bow,” Valero said at a Press conference today. “But we still don’t know whether they will play. It’s difficult.

“I think we will just have to do our best with whoever is available. We have shown that we can do well even without them.

“The strength of this team is the group, even though we have great players who can make the difference.

“We will think about the group, not about individuals. People stood by me after I got banned, that was very important.”

The Spaniard then answered questions about racism in football and his chances of making his country’s World Cup squad.

“The racism problem is global, it’s a question of education.

“The World Cup? I don’t think I have any chance, even though I will keep trying until the end.”
