Miralem Pjanic hopes his wonder goal can keep Roma’s Scudetto hopes alive. “We’ll do everything to catch Juventus.”

The Bosnian international dribbled past three players to score in last night’s 2-0 victory over Milan, temporarily closing the gap at the top of the Serie A table to five points.

Juve travel to relegation-threatened Sassuolo on Monday evening, between their Europa League semi-final encounters with Benfica.

“We’ll end the season on a high, then see what Juve do. If they win, the chances will be minimal,” confessed Pjanic on Roma Channel.

“We’ve got to keep giving joy to our fans, as this is a wonderful season. It’s a shame not to be first after everything we’ve achieved.

“We’ll do everything to catch Juventus in the remaining three games. There is such a great atmosphere around the team and an incredible season. We want to continue like this.

“It was a great game, a great goal, so I am even happier for this victory.”
