Inter defender Walter Samuel says he will play on for another season before potentially hanging up his boots.

The 36-year-old admits he still does not know where that year will be spent but did say he would like to become a Coach afterwards.

“I’ve had a lot of great Coaches,” Samuel told ESPN. “At the moment I still have the mentality of a player, but I definitely would like to be a Coach.

“I’ve had a lot of great Coaches,” Samuel told ESPN. “At the moment I still have the mentality of a player, but I definitely would like to be a Coach.

“At one time I said that I wouldn’t want to but now maybe I will give it a go. I will try to take something from each one of the Coaches I have worked under.

“I would like to start with youngsters to see how I get on.

“I will play on for another year. Will I stay in Europe? I have spoken to my family and I am just interested in playing. It doesn’t matter where.

“I still need to talk to Inter and tell them what I think and listen to their position before deciding.

“I know how I feel and I know that I could play at least one more year at a good level.”
