Milan’s Andrea Poli says he is hopeful of being fit in time to face Udinese in Serie A this weekend.
The 24-year-old took a bad blow to the head during Sunday’s defeat by Juventus following a challenge with Bianconero defender Martin Caceres.
“I’m feeling better, it was a real blow, but fortunately I always remained conscious,” Poli told the Milan Channel.
“Now we’ll see day by day how it goes. I have a great desire to be back soon but we’ll see what happens.
“Against Udinese it will be a tough game, but we want to approach it in the best way possible.
“I will look to be ready for that match.”
The midfielder then commented on the Rossoneri’s chances of Champions League progression.
“With Atletico it will be a great match and we want to go through.
“Even in the home leg we showed that we are capable of doing it.”
